Writing a matric exam and succeeding in the middle of a pandemic is an achievement that is worthy of a celebration.

Tuesday 23 February was a special day at Curro Academy Wilgeheuwel Independent School as they hosted the class of 2020 again on campus when they came to collect their result statements.

“It is with great pleasure that we report on the matric class of 2020 and their notable achievements, both as a group as well as individuals in the National Senior Certificate,” said Executive Head, Oriol Morgan.

According to Curro Academy Wilgeheuwel, the success achieved undoubtedly could not have become a reality without the hard work and dedication of their team of educators.

“We stand in awe of the tremendous achievement of our first inaugural Grade 12 cohort; we celebrate your individual triumph amidst a surge of difficulty. You were resilient, you were hard-working and you persevered. May the CurrageCall that you displayed through 2020 remain a part of who you are, and may you channel this into your future. At the core of success lies the influence, love and support of our Curro families. Thank you for entrusting us with your children and thank you for the countless hours of support. At the heart of our achievements lies a strong leadership team. We wish to thank our high school management team under the leadership of Mrs Gibson for the support afforded to the class of 2020,” said Oriol.
