Generous residents celebrate Easter Weekend

Gateway Land Owners and Residents Association based in Muldersdrift, chaired by Shenan Cochrane, have a 20-year-old tradition of dropping Easter eggs every Easter Sunday to show thanks to the on-duty police officers of Muldersdrift.

 

Sunday, 4 April saw community leaders of Muldersdrift together with their residents carrying out an act of kindness to celebrate the Easter weekend in the good spirit of Easter tradition.

The team of generous residents handed out Easter eggs to the children at the ABSA Camp on Sunset Drive in Muldersdrift before heading to the MOTHS Retirement Cottages to distribute more Easter eggs and have a morning chat in the sunshine.

“These policeman and women have to leave their families and work through the holiday to keep our community and families safe. It’s important for the police members to know that as a community with such a high violent-crime rate, that we appreciate all they do. It’s so important to spread some Easter Cheer through our community and put smiles on faces,” said Shenan.
