CPF patrollers welcome donation of traffic cones

The large traffic cones are 340 x 340 x 700mm in size and are important for the CPF community volunteers because the small ones are blown away, and are driven over by motorists, but the new ones will keep volunteers visible and safe.

On Monday, 12 April the Honeydew CPF Patrollers under the leadership of Honeydew CPF Deputy Chair, Jon Rosenberg received a sponsorship of traffic cones from West Pack Lifestyle Randburg.

West Pack Lifestyle donated 60 large, heavy-duty cones that were accepted by Honeydew CPF’s Michael Steyn and Jon.

According to Michael, the CPF approached the West Pack Lifestyle head office and they responded immediately and agreed to sponsor the traffic cones as they are very involved with the community.

“I want to say a huge thank you to West Pack Lifestyle for the awesome donation of traffic cones; it’s going to make a huge difference to my patrol team in terms of when we go out to accidents and assist with scene safety.

“I have so many patrollers that are unfortunately not in the position to buy their own cones – at the end of the day they are volunteers who are using their own vehicles and petrol, and are sacrificing their own family time.

“It is very heart-warming to see businesses come to the party At the end of the day local businesses can make a huge difference as we survive purely on donations,” said Jon.

“We appreciate the support that we get from businesses. We always welcome support from them and if there are other members of the community who would like to support us they are always welcome to contact us,” said Michael.

Members of the public who are interested in joining the Honeydew CPF Patrollers are encouraged to contact Jon Rosenberg on 082 450 2305 or Michael Steyn on 084 496 3852 for further information.
