Ecolink has expressed an interest in partnering with the Zandspruit Youth Development and their skills development programme that aims to empower 50 young people with computer skills.
Managing member at the company, Sean Wild said after reading the article in the Roodepoort Northsider, he felt compelled to reach out and further teach the Zandspruit youth about investing and crypto currency.
Wild said he had already introduced the Crypto Basics Course to some schools in Krugersdorp, and was looking forward to extending this to other communities. “It’s so important that we teach kids about saving and crypto currency. With the recent course we had, we trained 180 kids and assisted them to open an Altcoin Traders Account. We put R100 in each of their accounts to get them started in trading and investing,” he said. Wild revealed that one student has already turned his R100 into R500. He said they currently have a competition at one school to see which learner would have the most money after four months.

Their interest is to teach young people in disadvantaged areas that saving money these days isn’t the answer. “It’s investing,” he added.
CEO of Zandspruit Youth Development and secretary of Zamula, Tebogo Mangena started a skills programme where 50 young people in the Zandspruit community would be trained in computer literacy. Mangena said, “This is very impressive and it will give us the opportunity to do more as we are approaching youth month. We need to empower more youth so that they don’t get into what happened in the community this past week.”
