Active Covid-19 cases in Region C now at 3 025

The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the City of Johannesburg is at 15 470 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in City of Johannesburg, Region C, stood at 27 281 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 23 834 people have recovered thus far. There has been 422 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 3 025.

Rand West City and Merafong City, and Mogale City which forms part of the West Rand District, have had 8 788, 6 126 and 16 534 cases respectively. Rand West City, Merafong City and Mogale City have seen 7 575, 5 515, and 14 251 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the City of Johannesburg is 201 747 with 3 679 deaths and 182 598 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 15 470.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 514 486 with 463 068 recoveries and 11 793 deaths. This translates to 39 625 active cases within the Province.
