Donate R67 towards runs for furries

"We cannot take in any more pups until we have the runs, hospital and more wendies"

Place a Pup is a non-profit organisation that rehabilitates and re-homes abandoned dogs and puppies. The organisation is currently seeking donations to build 12 runs with 12 Wendy houses. Owner of Place a Pup, Jessica Dias said, “We have six Wendy houses already and have no runs. We need fencing, poles and cement.”

Residents and members of the community can donate R67 to the NPO for Mandela Day. This will go towards building the much-needed fencing that currently costs R28 000. Jessica shared that all their pups were in foster care and would not be able to roam free on the property until the runs have been built. “We cannot take in any more pups until we have the runs, hospital and more Wendies. We are also busy with quarantine rooms.”

Place a Pup does not believe in putting dogs and puppies in cages, but instead believes that every animal should be free to roam, play and express itself. Jessica said, “Kennel stress can be detrimental to the well-being and immune system of the animal, and can lead to unwanted behavioural issues.”
