Man critical after crashing into tree

A driver was left critically injured on Tuesday, July 27 when he allegedly lost control of his vehicle, resulting in him crashing into a tree off Jim Fouché Road in Constantia Kloof.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 06:40 and found the light motor vehicle on the side of the road against a tree. The male driver was lying trapped inside the car.

ER24 Rescue Medics used specialised equipment to free the injured man from the vehicle.

He was assessed and found to be in a critical condition. The victim was treated and provided with advanced life support before being transported to Helen Joseph Provincial Hospital for further care.

JMPD and Honeydew Police members were on scene for further investigations.
