On Friday, July 23 the Honeydew CPF patrollers braved the inclement weather conditions and took to the streets in their quest to make their community a safer place.
While the rest of the community remained in their heated homes, the cold night could not stop the determined team led by Jon Rosenberg.
They had 14 cars on the road, which consisted of 27 current patrollers and 10 new patrollers who were teamed up with them.
“It’s amazing that these patrollers braved the cold to be the eyes and ears for our Police Service, and keep a watchful eye over our community. The patrollers had a rather uneventful night but attended a few open gates and two accidents. We also thank our police reservist who worked with us last night and kept a watchful eye over us. We want to encourage anyone who lives in the Honeydew Police Precinct to get involved and join the CPF Volunteer Patroller programme,” said Jon.
Members of the public who are interested in joining this programme are advised to send a WhatsApp to Jon on 082 450 2305 with their name, surname and email address.
