Free Covid testing stations for the week

'We aim to suppress the virus through expanding testing and treatment facilities,'

For the past 15 months the healthcare response to Covid-19 has remained top priority. That’s why the Department of Health has been making available as many free testing stations as possible.

This is part of their Community Covid Outreach Plan which involves testing stations being put up throughout Roodepoort and surrounding areas currently considered as hotspots.

“We aim to suppress the virus through expanding testing and treatment facilities. That’s why we want to encourage the community to get tested,” Department of Health’s Health Promotion Manager, Given Chauke said.

Here is their Community Outreach Schedule for this week:

• Monday, August 2 – Fleurhof Lifestyle (Ward 70)
• Tuesday, August 3 – Jerusalem Rugby Stadium (Ward 70)
• Wednesday, August 4 – Sunshine Shopping Centre 1 (Ward 84)
• Thursday, August 5 – Zandspruit Taxi Rank, Plot 52 (Ward 114)
• Friday, August 6 – Snake Park Mbai-Mbai, Ext 4 (Ward 50)
