An armed robbery took place on Valley Road, Muldersdrift on August 3. According to reports, shortly after the residents had arrived home, they opened a window to let the cat out and left the key next to the open window.
After the suspects had gained entry to the property, they reached for the key through the window and let themselves in through the door.
Spokesperson for Muldersdrift Police, Sergeant Mulalu Ndou confirmed the incident. “Six armed men entered the house and robbed the residents of their property. No shots were fired and only one of the residents was assaulted.”
The intruders allegedly gained entry to the premises at the back of the property where the fence was lifted with sticks. They got away with TVs, laptops and cellphones.
