New home for saved chocolate Yorkie
“Having a rescued Yorkie takes a lot of love, attention and involvement. It is not that we have a problem with people working, it is just that this Yorkie was so special to us and we needed to make sure he was going to the best home.”

The chocolate Yorkie that BCI Security owner, Corinda Loots saved on July 22 from being sold at Makro Strubens Valley and Lifestyle Crossing has been adopted.
Dr Sue from Ruimsig Veterinary Clinic adopted the furry companion and was officially made the new proud owner of the dog.
According to Corinda the process of finding a home for the dog was extremely challenging as they received many requests.
When the potential homes were inspected, it was found that some had big dogs, some properties were a risk for the Yorkie to escape, and some people were working and were not at home a lot.
“Having a rescued Yorkie takes a lot of love, attention and involvement. It is not that we have a problem with people working, it is just that this Yorkie was so special to us and we needed to make sure he was going to the best home,” said Corinda.
The Yorkie stayed at Ruimsig Veterinary Clinic while Corinda and her team were looking for a good home, and in this time it bonded with their dog and got along so well.
“Dr Sue phoned us and told us she found a loving home for the baby, and we were very excited because their passion and love for dogs are exactly the same as ours at BCI Security & K9 Unit.
“I then asked her about the new owners, and she replied ‘me’. We were ecstatic about this great news.
“Special thanks to all who cared and sent messages the entire time to see if the baby was fine. it is so nice to know there are people who care so much about animals,” said Corinda.
