Estate agents nourish our nurses
Packs of comfort and nourishment were delivered to the nurses at Life Wilgeheuwel Hospital.
“You don’t build a house without its foundation, and you don’t build a hospital without its nurses.”
Because the work nurses do in caring and comforting patients is often overlooked, staff members of the Roodepoort branch of Lew Geffen Sotheby’s International Realty handed over packs of comfort and nourishment for the nurses at Life Wilgeheuwel Hospital.
The Nourish A Nurse packs tied with the company’s Mandela Month projects. Andre Coetzee, CEO of the Sotheby’s Roodepoort branch said nurses are often not thanked or appreciated for the work they do.

“We collaborated with some members when we moved back into Roodepoort, and we filled ice cream boxes with goodies and took them to the hospital. We handed over around 50 packs, and this is our way of trying to give back to the community,” he said.
Coetzee said they constantly work with different charities, but specifically wanted the drive to start in the community. “We wanted to start this in our community before we broaden out to other places. This is the first time we do this for nurses. As a property company, we are sometimes seen as takers, so it’s good to also give back.”
