Lost dog seeks shelter at City Parks Florida office

Brown and white non-descript breed hiding at office since Sunday

Routine Monday mornings can be brightened with the surprise of a new colleague, even if just temporary.

The public is asked to help identify the owners of a lost dog in the vicinity of Len Rutter Park. The dog has been hiding at the City Parks office at the park since Sunday, September 5, when it was first encountered by security guards.

Since the animal’s appearance at the office over the weekend, it has not wanted to leave and staff have been taking care of the lost dog but will be unable to accommodate the non-descript breed for much longer. The dog’s age is unknown and the gender will need to be identified first by anyone claiming the dog. Proof of ownership will also be required should the owner wish to claim the dog at the City Parks office.

Roodepoort/ Krugersdorp SPCA has been contacted and should the animal not be claimed timeously, it may end up in the municipal pound. For additional information, one may call 067 643 3571, or 086 095 7041 for information on the dog’s exact location.
