WRA donates stationery to the CPF Victim Support

"Young and old came out to support this great cause and we are blessed with boxes full of stationery which will be used with our Victim Support team."

Community members give to charity on a regular basis to support causes they believe in, as well as for the positive effect it has on their own lives.

Sunday, October 31 saw the Welview Residents Association (WRA) Treat Walk 2021 get underway in Weltevreden Park with residents using the event to donate to the causes they care about.

The starting point for the walk was Makalani cul de sac, ending on Selomi cul de sac while Fidelity ADT kept the route clear and safe for everyone.

The event marked a three-year cycle of what has been an impressively successful community-orientated event that has grown in popularity year on year.

According to the organisers, the stationery donations received on the day will be used by the Honeydew Community Policing Forum (CPF) and their Victim Support team in aid of those who need support.

WRA confirmed to the Northsider that they are looking forward to another successful Treat Walk in 2022.

Participants appreciated the prizes that were sponsored for the different ages and categories.

“We would like to thank Welview Residents Association for their donation of stationery after their Halloween fun walk with their residents.

“Young and old came out to support this great cause and we are blessed with boxes full of stationery which will be used with our Victim Support team.

“We are really appreciative of the donations and can’t say how much it means to us,” said Honeydew CPF PRO Michael Steyn.
