Frontline City Church celebrates 10 years with a family fun day

Every church should celebrate its anniversary so that each generation has an opportunity to learn about the church's history.

Rain and chilly weather did not halt Frontline City Church from celebrating their tenth birthday in the form of a well-organised Family Fun Day held at their premises on Saturday, November 27.

Jumping castles, freshly baked goodies, books, T-shirts, “minute to win it” games were just some of the fun activities enjoyed by those who braved the wet weather.

According to Frontline City Church, every church should celebrate its anniversary so that each generation has an opportunity to learn about the church’s history and to join in a celebration of the church on a grand scale.

The church revealed to the Northsider that they will be celebrating again at the beginning of 2022 and that members of the community should watch the space for updates.

Frontline City Church had its humble beginnings in the lounge of Apostle Hannes and Prophet Mandy Wessels’ Ruimsig home back in October 2011.

After meeting at The Willows wedding venue on Beyers Naudé Drive for two years, Frontline City Church moved to a desolate tomato packing tin shed in Honeydew, Roodepoort in 2014.

Working together, hand in hand, this tomato shed was developed into a unique venue for an equally unique family.

“Frontline City Church is a Christ-centred, supernatural, Bible-based church, united by its dynamic, impactful and loving congregation. Frontline represents every part of our beautiful Rainbow Nation of South Africa.

“’Be loved, find purpose, reach destiny’ is not just a motto to us, it is a promise to every person who walks through our doors,” said Pastor Wendy McKillop who heads the church’s Justice Ministries and Community Upliftment Departments.
