An elderly man is fighting for his life in hospital after he was attacked and stabbed during a house robbery on January 18. The 89-year-old Wilgespruit resident was accosted at his home on Pierre Road between 03:00 and 05:00.
Herman Coetzee from BCI Security said two thugs broke into the elderly man’s house. “He was beaten and stabbed. We can’t confirm what was stolen during the robbery.” Coetzee added that emergency services rushed the victim to hospital.
The matter is currently being investigated by the police. Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to report it to the police.
