On Wednesday, January 12 Nova Pioneer (NPR) Ruimsig welcomed back their staff and all learners for the new 2022 academic year.
According to Principal Carla Hercules, teachers, parents and learners enjoyed a fun-filled, happy start to the new year while the staff welcomed the learners.
In the school’s effort to create a positive and relaxed atmosphere especially for the Grade 1s, staff turned up in colourful tutus to calm the mixed emotions associated with the first day of school.
Carla said the school’s vision for 2022 is to foster healthy, positive relationships with their community and create a learning environment that is welcoming and supportive.
“We realised that new learners will arrive with some anxiety about a new school, so we decided to create a more relaxed and happy atmosphere. Both parents and learners loved seeing the staff dress up; it certainly was a wonderful morning for all. We look forward to another successful academic year,” she concluded.
