Youngster named winner of toy and activity hamper

He explained that he was excited about proving to himself and to his parents that he could do the puzzle, as well as colour-in the bee according to the numbers.

Crossword puzzles and fun activities are interesting ways to keep children occupied, and a good way to improve their vocabulary and mental health while adults get some time out for themselves.

Six-year-old U’Nathi Nxumalo got his parents to take a picture of him while he was busy working on the activities that were printed in the December 24 edition of the Roodepoort Northsider.

He has been named the winner of the exciting toy and activity hamper which he and his parents collected at the Caxton Witpoortjie offices on Friday, January 14.

The Grade 1 learner said he was excited about proving to himself and to his parents that he could do the puzzle, as well as colour-in the bee according to the numbers.

Introducing children to puzzles at an early stage is a good exercise for their mind as it keeps them active and productive; it also helps you to manage them better.
