Man left in critical condition after crashing into tree in Wilro Park
Male passenger escapes unharmed
A young man was found in a critical condition after smashing into a tree on February 6.
The man, believed to be in his twenties, was travelling with one passenger when the light motor vehicle hit a tree on Mimosa Street. Paramedics arrived on scene at roughly 23:30 to find one man trapped inside the vehicle and once freed, he was found to have sustained multiple serious injuries. Fortunately, the male passenger was assessed on scene and was found to have escaped unharmed.
“ER24 Rescue Medics used specialised tools to free the man from the car. Once released, medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition. The man was treated and provided with advanced life support before he was transported to a nearby hospital for further care,” confirmed ER24 Communications Officer, Russel Meiring.
Law-enforcement authorities attended the scene and the incident is currently under investigation.
