Magical beasts come alive at the Fantasy Fayre 2022

The creatures came out in numbers to transform the venue into a magical spectacle that was always in anticipation of Mother Nature deciding to cool everything down with an afternoon shower.

Despite the rain threatening to spoil the day on Saturday, March 5, unicorns, dragons and all magical beasts such as mermaids, griffins and werewolves came to feats at Fantasy Fayre 2022 – The Bestiary held at Rusty Hook.

From 10:00 to 17:00 the Fayre opened to all manner of fantasy games and craftsmen feathers, while fur and claws were the order of the day.

Attendees enjoyed the fantasy-themed market stalls and merriment while they played games, had a go at archery or sample Eoin’s Tankard mead, watch weapon-forging and have a unicorn ride.

The market quickly filled up with activity and the sounds of the bards and the clash of steel on steel as the forges’ roar could be heard.

Handmade jewellery, dragons, unicorns, ceramics, art, clothing, craft beer and delicious food and more were on sale at the stalls.

According to the organisers, the Fantasy Fayre 2022 – The Bestiary was a success and it was wonderful beyond words to see all the costumes and happy faces again.
