Corlett Avenue bridge closed as JRA complete retarring project

Labourers on site believe bridge should be open by 15:00 today, March 17

Residents and commenters are urged to avoid the area around the bridge on Corlett Avenue this afternoon, March 17.

Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) is currently completing the resurfacing of Corlett Avenue, a project that began several weeks ago. The section between Albertina Sisulu Road and Ontdekkers Road is currently closed, as is George Ross Street, a side road linked to Corlett Avenue.

Labourers busy with the resurfacing indicated that the road should be open by 15:00 this afternoon to allow for the flow of late afternoon and evening traffic to continue uninterrupted. Motorists are urged to use alternative routes in the interim.
