Large truck has jack-knifed travelling up-hill toward Ontdekkers Road

Motorists are urged to avoid William Nicol Drive near Life Flora Hospital after a truck accident on April 6.

As of 15:30 on Wednesday afternoon, first responders were still on scene waiting for a heavy duty towing vehicle to remove the truck and trailer. Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved in the incident and no injures have been reported from the scene.

Most of the accidents that occur on the busy strip of road happen to trucks coming down the hill but the large truck has jack-knifed going up the hill on this occasion. The stricken vehicle, which was carrying large cylinders, is stuck on the left hand side of William Nicol Drive heading towards Ontdekkers Road.

Motorists can expect delays and are urged to use an alternative route.
