On Tuesday, March 29 Nova Pioneer Ruimsig hosted its annual Inter-House Swimming Gala.
Swimmers and spectators immensely enjoyed the competitive atmosphere amongst the houses.
“To conclude our swimming season, learners had a great time soaking up the sun and demonstrating their swimming abilities. A number of entertaining races were held, including a teacher’s race,” said Principal Carla Hercules.
During the school’s weekly swimming classes, the learners learned how to float and be safe in and near the water.
According to the school, learners will acquire the proper methods for each swim stroke during the next swimming season.
There was a strong sense of community among the houses, who were cheering for their teammates and singing fun war cries, and each sports house was decorated in different themes and teachers joined in by dressing up.
