It was my employee who died in the Wilro Park taxi crash

"As her friend and employer, and for the four children I really want to honour her by getting her family all the help that they need.”

Wilma Hoffmann, the employer of Charity Ncube who sadly died in the accident that involved a taxi and a truck in Wilro Park has paid tribute to her late employee.

Wilma told the Record that her domestic worker, Charity was a sole breadwinner in her family who travelled from the East Rand to work in Roodepoort every day.

“Charity was a good, honest person and this is devastating for her family. Her mother told me that her daughter’s whole body was broken and she had no chance,” said Wilma.

Charity’s family described her as a much-loved wife to Focus Ncube, a mother of four and a friend to many more.

“The family obviously had to borrow money to take her back. We also need a lawyer who can assist with the accident claim; it will really help this family if they could get a volunteer.

“As her friend and employer, and for the four children I really want to honour her by getting her family all the help they need,” said Wilma.

The accident happened on Tuesday, June 14 at about 15:00 on CR Swart Road between Naboom Street and Elkie Drive in Wilro Park, involving two vehicles – a yellow Toyota Quantum minibus taxi and a white Mitsubishi truck that was transporting gas.
