Make Christmas traditions a habit

Christmas is a time for family, friends, and memories, and traditions are one of the best ways to make and share magical memories with the people who matter most in our lives.

Traditions must begin somewhere, so why not make your home the place to begin a Christmas tradition?

Christmas is a time for family, friends, and memories, and traditions are one of the best ways to make and share magical memories with the people who matter most in our lives.

We’ve compiled a list of our favourite traditions to start this year:

Fill a shoebox
Fill a shoebox with treasures for children less fortunate than you and your children. Fill the box with items that will not only make their lives easier but will also bring them joy, and include a toy.
Take the whole family shopping for shoebox supplies to teach your children that Christmas is about more than just gifts.

Start a Christmas movie and game night
Stock up on popcorn and drinks, watch a Christmas movie, and get in the holiday spirit.
Have a game night, just like a movie night, and play Scrabble, 30 Seconds, or Monopoly.

Volunteer your time to help others
Christmas is a season of giving, so it’s the ideal time to encourage family members to choose a cause and volunteer their time to help that cause. Members of the family can also clean out their closets and rooms and donate any items they no longer use.

Take an annual Christmas photo
It’s that time of year when the entire family gathers. As a result, it’s ideal for a fun themed family photo. You’ll be able to look back in five years and marvel at how much everyone has changed.
