Round Table Florida 21 bags Impact Award at BMG Tri-Area Conference

This award recognises the efforts and dedication of Round Table Florida 21 team and its community service to the West Rand.

Round Table Florida 21 returned from the BMG Tri-Area Conference in Middelburg with plenty to celebrate after receiving the Round Table Southern Africa Impact Award for community service.

The annual conference, held in late September, brought together Round Table clubs from Gauteng, Mpumalanga and the Bushveld. With approximately 200 people in attendance, the conference provided an opportunity for members to share ideas, celebrate achievements and reflect on fundraising and community initiatives undertaken throughout the year.

Round Table Florida 21 is an organisation for men aged 18–40, focused on community impacts, personal growth, fellowship, and business collaboration. They are family-oriented and committed to building better men and stronger communities.

According to club chairman Phillip van Wyk III, receiving the Impact Award was the highlight of the weekend, as it recognised the club’s growth in community involvement and meaningful project outcomes.

“Florida 21 currently boasts the highest ratio in Gauteng of funds distributed back into communities and charitable projects relative to funds raised — an achievement that reflects the club’s commitment to ensuring that fundraising translates into real assistance where it is needed most,” said Van Wyk.

The award was presented by Round Table Southern Africa President Wessel Dreyer and Vice President Riaan Greyling, with Round Table Gauteng chairman Walter van Rooyen also in attendance.

For Florida 21, the award celebrates the dedication, time and effort of its members, partners and supporters who make a difference in the West Rand and surrounding communities.

“Our community service is not simply about raising funds — it is about turning those funds into meaningful action and lasting impact,” said Van Wyk.
