Let that Christmas lunch settle with one of these classic Christmas films
From Rom-Com's to action movies, there is a little something for everyone

The sun has sapped the family’s energy and the hearty roast has left bodies feeling like lead. Once the afternoon naps are over, pick one these to cap off another special day of celebration.
1. Four Christmases
A romantic comedy that touches on the idiosyncrasies of family dynamics is a laugh riot with a heartwarming love story thrown in. Starring Vince Vaugh and Reece Witherspoon, the couple travel between family Christmas get-togethers that test their relationship’s resilience. Relatable and raucous.
2. Love, Actually
A quintessentially British tale with an ensemble cast that pours on the Christmas love in abundance. With small cameos, big performances and cheeky innuendos, this well crafted and very human story is perfectly book-ended by Hugh Grant’s airport-set monologues.
3. Die Hard
Every contrarian’s favourite Christmas movie, Bruce Willis’ scramble around the Nakatomi Plaza is an action classic. If the niceties of December 25th have made one soft, harden up with a good old fashioned shoot’em up with a bit of attitude. No doubt by the end of the evening you’ll be screaming ‘yippee ki-yay’…
4. Jingle all the Way
The Governator’s mid-nineties family-friendly era may not have produced many classics but did throw up some heartwarming memories. Watching Arnold Schwarzenegger chase a sold out around town for his son may bring back a few moans and groans from weary parents. Pure 90’s Christmas gold.
5. The Polar Express
A visual delight courtesy of director Robert Zemeckis, this Christmas journey sums up all the wonder and charm that the festive season has to bring, with the exception of snow if you live south of the equator. Featuring several vocal performances from Tom Hanks, The Polar Express is the true spirit of Christmas.
