Ebenezer Home appeals to community for donations

"To help sustain the home, we rely on donations and assistance from the public and corporate sectors to help fill the financial obligations and keep the home open and functional."

The South African Revenue Service has made a great announcement! If you donate before Tuesday, February 28 this year, individuals, trusts, private and public companies can get up to 45% back on your taxable income as part of your allowable Tax Benefits for the 2023 tax year.

Ebenezer Psychiatric Home is a licensed non-profit organisation that takes care of mentally ill adults with Bipolar or Schizophrenia. The home-based organisation in Witpoortjie is registered under Section 18a, which provides tax exemption benefits to donors.

Ebenezer is dependent on the government for monthly bed subsidies to help cover the costs of our home, however, these funds often fall short and are at times late. To help sustain the home, they rely on donations and assistance from the public and corporate sectors to help fill the financial obligations and keep the home open and functional.

If you wish to lend a helping hand and make a donation, Lee-Ann and her team can be contacted on 073 556 5159 or 011 955 6595. You can also contact them via email at admin@ebenezer-house.co.za.
