Trinityhouse Little Falls riders Jonathan van Dyk and Naledi Sennanye represented Gauteng at the South African National Equestrian Schools Association (SANESA) National Competition held at Kyalami Equestrian Park from September 24 to 27.

With A2 Lila, he placed third in Prix Caprilli Level 1, fourth in Working Riding Level 5 and fifth in In-hand Level 3. He also finished 16th in Working Hunter Level 3 and 24th in Equitation Level 3. Van Dyk’s second horse, Winter Blast, competed in the 60cm showjumping classes, where the pair finished eighth and ninth.

Sennanye competed in Dressage Level 1 and finished 13th. The two learners qualified to compete at the national competition following the SANESA season, representing Gauteng as well as the school.

According to the school, the national competition provided the riders with the opportunity to compete against young equestrian riders from around the country, and qualifying for nationals and competing among some of the country’s talented young riders is an achievement in itself.
