Royals Centre welcomes its first learners with disabilities
Impact Africa Zandspruit opens its first special needs classroom called The Royals Centre.
Impact Kids Zandspruit Campus has opened its first special needs respite centre, affectionately known as The Royals Centre, in partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation.

This initiative aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children with disabilities, allowing them to grow and learn while giving their families the opportunity to pursue work and other responsibilities.
According to marketing officer Robyn Lila Dhari, the centre, which welcomed its first child in 2025, has quickly grown to serve 10 special children aged seven to 12, each with unique needs and abilities. The dedicated team of special needs teachers works tirelessly to cater to children with various disabilities, including Down syndrome, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and other neurodevelopmental disabilities.

“However, to continue providing the best possible care and support, the centre is in urgent need of special needs equipment. Donations of child feeding chairs, weighted blankets and vests, grip aids, writing guides, fine motor tools, and sensory activity items would make a significant difference in the lives of these incredible children.
“This is a great initiative because most parents in our community struggle with learners who have disabilities. Some parents are unaware that their children possess these disabilities, and since we opened the centre, we are hoping for a larger number than what we already have. We have received great feedback from parents, and the learners are adapting quickly; we just need the proper equipment,” Robyn explains.
