Considered the most vibrant and fun-filled event of the term, teachers and learners at Panorama Primary came together on 6 June for the school’s colour run – a day filled with laughter and unforgettable memories.
“We have a lot of learners who love a day like this. They enjoy being free and wild without any rules, for just one day,” said Leigh Todd, a teacher and head of department at the school.

The colour run, which saw learners covered in colourful powder, was a great success. The event began with a warm-up session featuring a range of engaging activities. It served both as a term fundraiser and a fun way to wrap up the June exams. Additional elements included a mini maze, balance beams and a leopard crawl activity.

Teachers lined the course with bottles of brightly coloured powder, spraying the children as they ran past. The festive atmosphere was so contagious that many learners chose to run the course again.
“This day was amazing for us. We played and enjoyed ourselves. It was a great way to end the exams,” said Cleo Mukosera, a Grade Five learner.
Leigh explained what inspired her to organise the event.
“It’s a way to address the school’s needs while giving our learners the chance to have fun, socialise, and create memories,” she said.
She also praised the learners’ helpfulness after the event.
“They helped clean the grounds and pack up the classrooms. The day left them feeling happy and free.”

The bright colours and joyous energy made for a memorable day, the school community will cherish – and hopefully repeat.
