Ruiter rugby players participate in Craven Week

Kgotso Koetle and Khumo Gaanabo from Laerskool Die Ruiter were selected to take part in the prestigious rugby academy week in East London.

Two talented young rugby players from Laerskool Die Ruiter, Kgotso Koetle and Khumo Gaanabo, were selected to participate in the esteemed Craven Week, taking place at Selborne College in East London from June 29 to July 4.

The duo’s selection comes after their hard work, dedication and natural ability at the U13 Golden Lions team.

According to team manager Reggie Gama, both players possess outstanding qualities that set them apart.

“Kgotso will be part of the academy week and Khumo will be doing the Craven Week,” he said.

“They are both confident, have great leadership skills, and have personal life goals within the sport. We are extremely proud of them.”

Kgotso and Khumo shared with the Roodepoor Record that they are both passionate about rugby, adding that they started playing the sport in grade four. Both players aspire to play professionally and are determined to make their mark in the rugby world.

Craven Week is a premier platform for young rugby players to showcase their skills, and Kgotso and Khumo are sure to make a lasting impression.
