The community of Florida is hot under the collar following the release of a video depicting a child being severely beaten.
Police launched a manhunt for a man who brutally assaulted a two-year-old boy.
The man, alleged to be the boyfriend of the child’s mother, was captured on CCTV footage viciously attacking the boy at a residential complex in Florida.
The grainy footage shows the man pacing up and down between the garden and the complex driveway with the boy in his arms and a cellphone in one hand.
The man repeatedly hits the child in his face, with such force that his head jolts violently.
At one point in the video, the man appears to kick the child with such force that he nearly loses his balance.
Florida police confirm that a case has been opened and assigned for investigation to the Roodepoort Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offenses Unit.
The man’s identity, including photographs of him, is widely shared on social media.
