Meek murder case postponed again

Meek appeared at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on January 26 for a pre-trial hearing.

The case against murder accused Tiffany Nicole Meek, has been postponed to Wednesday, February 18 to allow for more time in preparations of admissions.

Meek briefly appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s court on Monday, January 26, represented by a new defense lawyer Mohammed Razak.

She is accused of murdering her son Jayden-Lee Meek, whom she reported missing in May, claiming that he failed to return from school.

The case was previously heard at Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court and was transferred to Johannesburg High Court in November, following the severity of the case.

She is facing five charges; murder, defeating or obstructing the administration of justice, crimen injuria, attempting to defeat or obstruct the course of justice, and child abuse/negligence.

Meek remains in custody.
