9 arrested after alleged business robbery in Honeydew
Zeiss, Tailor and Zephania roads remain closed in Honeydew after nine suspects were arrested following an alleged business robbery. Police are processing the scene.
Nine suspects were arrested following an alleged business robbery in Honeydew on August 5, with police and private security remaining on the scene as investigations continue.
Honeydew Community Policing Forum (CPF) public relations officer Michael Steyn said the incident occurred at about 10:00.
According to Steyn, the suspects allegedly robbed a business before hijacking a resident’s vehicle while attempting to flee.
He said a swift response by private security companies and law enforcement led to the recovery of the hijacked vehicle and the arrest of all nine suspects.
The exact charges the suspects may face have not yet been confirmed by police.
Motorists are advised that Zeiss, Tailor and Zephania roads remain closed while officers process the crime scene.
Police investigations are ongoing, and more information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
