The trial against murder accused Tiffany Meek was postponed to September 18 after an inspection was conducted at Swazi Place on Wednesday, August 26.

The Johannesburg High Court team, comprising the judge, defence, state prosecutor and investigating officer, concluded an inspection in loco at Swazi Place, the crime scene, in an effort to gain a better understanding of the site and clarify information surrounding the case.

The state alleges that Meek murdered her 11-year-old son Jayden-Lee, whom she reported missing in May 2025.

As she stands trial, she is facing charges of murder, crimen injuria and defeating the ends of justice.

It was the first time Meek had to revisit the murder scene since her arrest in July 2025.

Several state witnesses have already testified in the case, including Jayden’s teacher and transport driver.

The court is expected to call a new witness in September.

Meek remains in custody.
