CPF elections on again

Elections for Florida CPF Sector 2 and 3, as well as the Florida CPF Exco, are back on following an intervention from the Department of Community Safety.

The management of Florida police and the Department of Community Safety have intervened in the ongoing Florida CPF saga and announced that CPF elections will go ahead this year, setting aside the election postponement announced earlier this month.

CPF elections are a year overdue and were initially set to take place early in November before a serious health scare for chairperson Farhaad Sardiwalla prompted the executive to announce a postponement to February next year.

During a recent meeting held at the Florida Police Station, however, it was decided to move forward.

• The Florida CPF Sector 2 at the Florida Dragon Boat Club in Eisteddfod Street
• The Florida CPF Sector 3 at the Fleurhof Recreation Centre

Residents who wish to take part, or residents who wish to make themselves available for nomination, are urged to report to the venues at 18:30 for registration, as the elections will take place at 19:00.

The Florida CPF AGM and Exco election will take place on December 3, at the Rainbow FM offices in Sauer Street, next to the Florida Police Station.
