Elderly feasts on pancakes
"We have done various of these pancake campaigns as we call them during 2022 and will continue to do so in 2023."
Pensioners at the Floroma Old Aged Home and Frail Care received some pampering on Thursday, January 12 following a visit by members of the ActionSA Region C Constituency.
Esmie Liebenberg, Carin van der Schyff, Christine van der Schyff, Lenie Muller, Magda Botha, Fanus Gerber, Rodney Phillips, Rod Knight and Rainier Kanes spoiled the residents with freshly baked pancakes.

“The residents were also grateful for the huge willow trees that provide some shade during the recent high temperatures and also thanked the visitors for donating their time and resources to them. On the day we visited Floroma Old Age Home in Ward 84 in the City of Johannesburg, our older folks are close to our hearts and not only did we have some much-appreciated interaction with them, but we also had the opportunity to spoil them with some freshly baked pancakes.

“We have done various of these pancake campaigns as we call them during 2022 and will continue to do so in 2023. Mark Twain once said that ‘kindness is a language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see’. Keeping this in mind, we want to keep hope alive for all South Africans,” said Esmie Liebenberg.
