No serious injuries in Roodepoort CIT heist
While no serious injuries have been reported, the scene is still active with Roodepoort police combing the scene for evidence.
Reports of a CIT robbery surfaced on the morning of October 11 where a Fidelity cash truck was hijacked near Sunshine Cash & Carry and Lombard Tyres on Albertina Sisulu Road.
Details around the robbery are still unclear, however, according to Suburban Control Centre Security, a call came in at around 11:00 with reports related to a CIT robbery.
Lieutenant Colonel Clive de Freitas from Roodepoort Police Station confirmed that the scene is still being combed and evidence collected.
No serious injuries have been reported though and the suspects managed to get away. The vehicle is still on the scene.
