Trapped driver rescued after crash

Although the driver's life was threatened, no fatalities were reported.

Firefighters from the Community Group Firefighter Association (CGFA) rushed to a scene after a car crash had left a driver trapped inside their vehicle on Monday, November 10.

CGFA, a non-profit organisation that provides emergency rescue and fire services across the West Rand, helped free the driver, who was then taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Several emergency response services, including Help24 and Help24 EMS, Emergency Control SA, members of the police, and City of Joburg EMS, were also present on scene, and they all worked together to successfully assist the parties involved in the crash.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and authorities are urging motorists to always stay alert and drive carefully on the roads.
