Lions Christmas cake orders are open

These delicious cakes make the perfect gifts for family and friends.

Christmas is around the corner, and the Lions Club of Wilro Park is welcoming the festive season with their famous Christmas cakes.

These deliciously baked cakes are sold for a good cause and have been a tradition for the Lions for about 40 years.

According to Amanda Hone, project manager since 1975, Lions clubs throughout South Africa have sold Christmas cakes to raise funds to finance projects in their communities.

Some of these projects include cancer awareness, disaster relief, vision programmes, hearing projects, diabetes awareness and education, youth exchange and leadership development, feeding schemes, assisting senior citizens, the youth and mentally and physically challenged people, as well as protecting the environment.

This year, it’s no different as the cakes are currently on sale for R175 and wrapped in a gift box. The 1kg cakes are non-alcoholic and not iced.

If you want in on this mouth-watering, fruity deliciousness, remember to order yours now by contacting Wilro Lions Club president, Sandy van Heerden, on 083 564 6388.
