Foundation brings festive joy and smiles to Fleurhof children

The Serve to Grow foundation, in partnership with Bossa Bedfordview, hosted a Christmas party for the children and also provided essentials.

The Serve to Grow Foundation, in partnership with Bossa Bedfordview, brought smiles and joy to children in Fleurhof when they hosted their annual Christmas party on Saturday, November 22.

During the event, children received a delicious burger and chips meal, sweet packs, gifts, stationery, and nourishing pap. Their enthusiastic response reflected the positive impact of the event, which aimed to provide support and upliftment to children facing daily socio-economic challenges.

According to Mellisa Huber, co-founder of the organisation, the Christmas party aimed to give children and families in vulnerable circumstances a day filled with dignity, joy, and hope.

“It was more than just a festive event; our goal was to remind them that they are valued, supported, and not forgotten during this season.

“The day was an exceptional success. The smiles and excitement from the children, the sense of unity among volunteers, and the warmth shared throughout the event all reflected the true spirit of Christmas.

“We were able to create meaningful moments that uplifted everyone present – a powerful reminder of what community and compassion can achieve.”

The foundation has been a beacon of hope for communities and families in Fleurhof, Westbury, Newclare, Riverlea, Dobsonville, etc, since 2019.

Mellisa thanked all the sponsors whose generosity made the day possible.

“Their support truly brought this vision to life,” she said.
