Church continues to give back to the community

Every Saturday morning St. Gabriel's Anglican Church serves hundreds of nutritious food to those in need.

For more than eight years, the St. Gabriel’s Anglican Church has been a beacon of hope for the local community, hosting a weekly feeding scheme every Saturday, serving more than 100 members in need.

Dedicated volunteers, who are also part of the church’s club, rise early every Saturday to cook and prepare nutritious meals for those who require a helping hand.

The scheme has become a lifeline for many, providing more than just a meal, but a sense of community and belonging.

Reverend Trevor Prince said church is meant to be looking after the widowed, orphaned and the outcast, and it is a core ministry of the church to take care of those in need.

“For us it is a joy to be able to give and we doing it lovingly and graciously. The feeding is sustained by donations from the church and we do get funding from one or two individuals from outside,” he said.

The church’s outreach efforts extend beyond the weekly feeding scheme, with ongoing support for the KCCC Foundation in Florida, including regular deliveries of nutritious meals.

Additionally, the church is always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, offering food parcels to individuals and families who visit their doors seeking assistance.
