Welties announces new 2026 head prefects

The prefects play an important role in the school community, helping represent the learners, assisting teachers, and upholding the school values and discipline.

Weltevreden Park Primary School (Welties) officially announced its 2026 head prefect leadership team during a school gathering held on Monday, February 9.

The announcement marked an important moment for the school as learners were introduced to the group that will help lead the school community during this academic year.

Kai Ntloko was announced as head girl and will be supported by deputy head girls Gavriella Kana and Oarona Molope. On the boys’ side, Ayabulela Sangoni was named head boy, with Joshua Kruger and Mihir Soonder appointed as deputy head boys.

Teachers and fellow learners welcomed the announcement, and they cheered the new leadership team as they walked across the stage, ready to assume their leadership positions.

School management wished the newly appointed prefects well as they prepare to take on their responsibilities. The leadership team is expected to work closely with educators to create a positive and respectful learning environment.
