FullFlame kicks off 2026 with clean-up

This turned a regular Saturday into a day of positive impact as everyone rolled up their sleeves and got to work.

FullFlame Life Church held its first clean-up event of the year on Saturday, February 21, bringing volunteers, residents, and other partners together to improve the surrounding local environment.

According to the church’s outreach co-ordinator, Thato Phiri, the day went ahead as planned and was driven by a shared desire to serve and uplift the community. Volunteers worked side by side to show that meaningful change can start with simple actions when people come together with a common goal.

“We were privileged to receive early support from JMPD, as well as assistance from the Toolbox Hub team, whose contribution played an important role in the day’s success. Their willingness to partner with us reflects the power of collaboration between community organisations and external stakeholders in creating cleaner, safer spaces for everyone,” Thato said.

During the clean-up, the team removed litter from pavements and surrounding traffic islands. With the help of partners, additional work such as grass cutting was also completed. The visible improvements made during the outreach brought encouragement to those involved.

The church thanked all stakeholders, partners and community members who took part and supported the initiative.

“We also warmly invite more community members, organisations, and local stakeholders to join us in our upcoming outreach programmes. Together, we can continue building a healthier, cleaner, and more vibrant environment for all,” expressed Thato.
