Meek pleads not guilty to son’s murder

Roodepoort mother denies killing son whose body was found hours after he was reported missing.

Murder-accused Tiffany Nicole Meek has pleaded not guilty to the killing of her son, Jayden-Lee Meek.

Meek appeared in the Johannesburg High Court sitting at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on March 25.

She is accused of murdering her son after initially reporting him missing in May 2025. The child’s body was discovered the following morning near a stairway in the complex where they lived.

The 31-year-old was arrested in July 2025 and faces multiple charges, including murder, crimen injuria , defeating the ends of justice, attempting to obstruct justice, and child abuse and neglect.

The matter has been postponed to April 22 for the continuation of the trial.

Meek remains in custody.
