The Johannesburg Zoo is putting on a concert of epic proportions this Mother's Day.

According to JCPZ spokesperson Jenny Moodley, Mother’s Day is about celebrating the most important women in our lives.

“We’ve planned an unforgettable day of music, love, and family connection,” she says. “Set against the lush, tranquil backdrop of one of the city’s most beloved outdoor venues, this special event promises a heartwarming atmosphere filled with soulful melodies and elegant performances.

Audiences will be treated to a lineup featuring Ami Faku, The Soil, Matthew Mole, Bongi Archi, Phoebe Mgxaji, Chubby Cheeks, and The Phoenix Orchestra, conducted by Richard Cock – all coming together to create a magical musical tribute that honours mothers most memorably.

“The Mother’s Day Concert keeps JCPZ grooving to its feel-good mission – bringing together conservation, community love, and fun, family-friendly adventures for everyone.

“Think guided strolls, hands-on discoveries, and smooth, safe spaces where little ones, grandparents, and everyone in between can kick back and enjoy the magic.”
