Curro Wilgeheuwel's career Dress Up Day encourages learners to dream big.

The atmosphere at Curro Wilgeheuwel was filled with excitement and ambition as learners and staff took part in a special career-themed dress-up day aimed at inspiring future aspirations and broadening career awareness.

According to Curro’s head of academics, Adelize Potgieter, the initiative encouraged learners to dress as professionals from careers they aspire to pursue one day, allowing them to imagine themselves in different roles while exploring possible future pathways. The event showcased a wide range of aspirations and talents, including doctors, engineers, teachers, athletes, entrepreneurs, and emergency personnel.

Potgieter described the event as a major success, noting that its primary goal was to help learners begin shaping their sense of purpose and future identity. By stepping into the shoes of professionals they admire, learners were able to express their interests and engage in meaningful conversations about their goals and dreams.

“One of the highlights of the day was seeing the excitement among learners as they discovered each other’s chosen careers and admired the creativity behind the outfits. The buzz around campus created a strong sense of community and enthusiasm, with learners proudly showcasing their future ambitions,” said Adelize.
