NPR is ready to make this year SUPER!

"This year we will anchor around the common theme of 'superhero'."

Nova Pioneer Ruimsig is looking forward to another exciting year filled with the joy of learning.

The atmosphere was festive, joyous, and calm on January 17, when the school opened for the year. Parents and learners began arriving as early as 6:30 to welcome the new school year.

“This year we will anchor around the common theme of ‘superhero’. We believe that we all have superhero qualities within us,” Carla Hercules, Head of School, explained.

“We would like to use our talents to improve the world and make a meaningful difference.”

All staff arrived dressed in superhero capes and costumes. Learners arrived at school and seeing their teachers dressed up and made them excited to go to school. The joyful atmosphere eased the anxiety of some of the new learners and NPR’s pre-primary babies.

“All parents and learners were formally welcomed at a very short assembly. The learners sang, and then we waved goodbye to their parents. Once the parents had left, our teachers began setting routines and expectations for the day and year ahead. Overall, we had a successful first day,” Carla concluded.
