Welties school sparks an interest in democracy

By demonstrating to its youth the importance of exercising their right to vote, SPARK Weltevreden Park provided them with a hands-on learning opportunity.

Democracy functions best when our future leaders are represented.

Despite the fact that it has been 29 years since South Africa’s first democratic election, teachers at SPARK School continue to share their knowledge of the country’s rich history and democratic growth while honouring the country’s struggle icons.

As part of celebrating this yearly day, SPARK Weltevreden Park gave its learners a practical learning experience by showing them the value of exercising their right to vote and how doing so is essential to being an involved and active South African citizen.
